I have known Des Daniels for several decades both as a good friend and as a dedicated no-nonsense, loving pastor.  Several years back, God strongly impacted Des concerning the great need for revival in the church. The communication between God and Des was remarkable; not unlike God calling the prophet, Jeremiah and Jeremiah’s response that he was not qualified for the task.  Des spent the first year solely in fervent prayer for revival. During this prayer time, he received the inspiration to write a book. Every word, sentence and paragraph were carefully selected while seeking divine guidance as to what to say to the reader.  The fruit of Des’ labor is within these pages, under God’s inspiration.

I read Des Daniels’ book while contemplating the massive decline in Australian churchgoing in recent years. Fifty years ago, 36% of the Australian population attended a Christian church at least monthly; today, it’s just 15%. So numerically, some 5 million people have voted with their feet! Couple that with society’s mania for materialism and our plummeting moral standards, and we have a toxic cocktail. However, Des’s well-researched book unexpectedly offers the ultimate solution, supported by solid Biblical and contemporary evidence. He doesn’t suggest a new political party or economic system, but rather a route as old as the one through the Red Sea. Every rank-and-file Christian believer can play a pivotal role in becoming part of a proven solution. And it’s the simplicity of his proposal that encourages me that Des has nailed it!
